The next morning after breakfast, Chi and the women and walked up the gentle slope to where the tea and mulberry bushes had been.  Chi held his shirt in his hand and said, "Your grandmother made this from Manchurian cotton.  We sold the silk to buy the cotton."

The clean up continued and Sanko thought how the farm had no weeds, no insects, and no animals--only earthquakes and typhoons.

As they ate, they talked about the storm.  Chi made cherry blossom tea.
