The words, Imperial Japanese Army , rang in Lea's ears as the little man tied Lea's left wrist.  The Imperial Japanese Army was a thing from Nanking in December 1937.  The nun had told her that the Japs had burned the father's house,


Lea said to herself, "The family was moving to a refugee camp when the soldiers stopped them, not me.".   


The big man tied Lea's right wrist.  "A Jap,"  Lea
